Detectives served a search warrant for Jimenez s home and items related to the attack were found. The woman was attacked just before noon on a trail in the park on South Melrose Drive, according to SDSO. She told investigators she was walking her dog when Jimenez attacked her as she passed him on the trail. The woman said Jimenez tried to pull her into bushes along the trail, but she was able to get away when they both fell to the ground. She suffered light scratches on her legs from the fall, deputies said. Arson investigators look into fire that damaged four Vista businesses Copyright Associated Press and last updated 2021-01-17 21:11:32-05 VISTA (CNS) - Four businesses were seriously damaged Sunday in a possible arson fire and residents of a nearby apartment complex had to be evacuated. Around 2 a.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff s Station discovered a fire in the alley behind the 400 block of North Santa Fe Avenue, said Sgt. A. W. Moses of the San Diego County Sheriff s Department. The fire had quickly spread to at least four nearby businesses, Moses said. Firefighters from the Vista Fire Department, Carlsbad Fire Department and Oceanside Fire Department were able to control and put out the fire, the sergeant said. ....
