However, most of the performance testing we’ve seen done has been with the M4 Competition. But what about the base model BMW M4 with a six-speed manual?

Toyota hasn’t set an official Nurburgring Nordschleife lap time with the potent GR Yaris (yet), but this video provides us with a good look at just how fast it is around the treacherous German circuit.
This particular GR Yaris is a customer-owned example and the driver shows very little fear tackling Green Hell, even though this was just his 14th lap at the circuit and just his second lap in the Japanese hot hatch. The car is so controllable at the limit and provides such good performance that the driver was able to keep up with a BMW M2 Competition throughout the lap. ....

We don’t have to tell you that the wonderful world of hot hatchbacks is flooded with offerings from just about any automaker you can think of. However, it all started with vehicles like the Honda Civic Type R and Volkswagen Golf GTI. And that’s convenient because
Sport Auto’s latest video features a showdown between the two modern classics at the Hockenheim race circuit.
Before we start, we’d be remiss not to mention that the
Clubsport variant of the GTI isn’t available in the U.S. – the standard GTI can only cough up 242 horsepower (180 kilowatts) compared to the Clubsport’s 296 hp (221 kW). Meanwhile, on paper, the two competitors in the video are a close match. ....

Porsche Taycan Turbo Faster Than Shelby GT500 Around Race Track

Sport Auto took a Taycan Turbo not the top-of-the-range Turbo S, mind you to the Hockenheim Formula 1 circuit recently to see just how well it could stack up against its ICE-powered competitors. Despite the massive weight penalty from its floor-mounted battery pack, it s able to see a lap time of 1:54.1 around the famous track. Comparing that with other lap times set by the publication, the Taycan Turbo is half a second quicker than the mighty supercharged Shelby, and a tenth in front of the brutally quick M5.
It s also worth noting just how fun the lap looked from behind the wheel. Driver Christian Gebhardt is able to slide out of corners and really commit through faster bends. It s worth a watch if you still doubt whether the Taycan is a real Porsche. ....
