AURORA, Colo. Investigators have identified two people they said were responsible for organizing a “highway takeover” of southbound Interstate 225 in Aurora last month that left hundreds of cars stuck in the middle of the road.
One of those suspects is a teenager who has been issued a summons for reckless driving, driving a vehicle with a canceled license and engaging in a speed exhibition. Because he is of driving age but under 18, Aurora Police are not identifying him by name.

AURORA, Colo. â Aurora police have identified two people who were involved or helped organize a âhighway takeoverâ on Interstate 225 in early March.
One of the people is a juvenile and the other, a 21-year-old, died before he was charged.
On March 7 around 9 p.m., the Aurora Police Department received several calls about street racers blocking traffic and driving recklessly on southbound Interstate-225. Officers found that the racers were impeding the flow of traffic and preventing other drivers from traveling through safely. Traffic was slow, and even stopped, on the highway between E. Alameda Avenue and E. Colfax Avenue.

2nd degree burglary (two counts)
Eight days before Lopez-Leon s death, she reported a burglary to the Broomfield Police Department (BPD) in which a large gun safe had been tampered with inside her home, BPD said at the time. The safe weighed approximately 480 pounds empty, police said.
Police said Munoz-Diaz previously lived in the same mobile home park as the victim and had come under the belief that she kept a large amount of cash in the safe.
During the investigation into her death, BPD detectives found that the safe was missing, as was a gold Michael Kors clutch purse that was presumed to contain her personal information, BPD said. Two watches were also stolen from Lopez-Leon s home.
