State troopers responded around 4:45 p.m. Saturday to a rollover crash on state Route 17 near Exit 84 in the Broome County Town of Sanford, according to New York State Police at Deposit. Troopers who arrived at the scene found the vehicle, a Honda Civic, had struck the wire guide rail, crossed the road, and struck a guide rail on the opposite side of the roadway before going off the highway and rolling over multiple times, state police said. ....

One person is dead following a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night in the Broome County Town of Colesville. State troopers responded shortly after 9 p.m. to the area of the Perch Pond Hill Cemetery on Nabinger Hill Road in Colesville for a report of a vehicle that struck a tree, according to New York State Police at Binghamton. The driver of the vehicle was the only occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. The victim s name is being withheld pending family notifications. No other information about the crash is being released at this time. ....

He was transported to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, where he was pronounced dead around 7:35 a.m. McLain was also taken to Wilson Medical Center. His condition was not available. Police said a preliminary investigation indicated Chordas was entering the roadway from a driveway while McLain was traveling southeast on state Route 79 toward the hamlet of Chenango Forks when the collision took place.
