Julia Peters is one of the Mountain Street residents with concerns about the state Department of Transportation’s preferred design for the project. That design, Alternative 5, which would widen a 2.8-mile stretch of Mountain Street, would require takings and easements. “A lot of what we were asking for was the reconsideration of the MassDOT Alternative 5 design,” Peters said. Town Administrator Nicholas Caccamo said at least 45 people signed in for the meeting. ....

Williamsburg voters got down to business at annual Town Meeting Williamsburg Town Hall GAZETTE FILE PHOTO Published: 6/9/2021 9:57:28 AM WILLIAMSBURG All 22 articles passed without any controversy at Monday’s annual Town Meeting, which drew fewer residents than normal perhaps due to the heat. “Everything went very, very smoothly the whole meeting,” said Select Board Chairman William Sayre, noting that there were “no controversies” at the meeting. Sayre said that most of the articles passed unanimously and no hand counts were required. He also said that “the annual Town Meeting really is a townwide effort” and that the ease and consensus by which the town passed articles this year really showed that. ....
Williamsburg Selectboard, new administrator agree on terms Williamsburg Town Hall JERREY ROBERTS Published: 5/9/2021 7:40:03 PM WILLIAMSBURG Nicholas Caccamo, a Pittsfield city councilor, has come to an agreement with the Select Board to become the next town administrator. Caccamo was offered the job by the Select Board over finalists Brenda Lessard, Williamsburg’s town clerk, and Carl McKinney, the former town administrator of Clarksburg. “I’m extremely excited for this opportunity,” Caccamo said. “I hope I can just serve the residents well.” Negotiations between Caccamo and the town have been completed, although his contract has not yet been signed. “We’re very excited,” Select Board Chairman William Sayre said. “We think he’s a great fit for the town.” ....
