Two Ivy League universities have apologized after the remains of a pair of children killed in a 1985 bombing in Philadelphia were kept by researchers for decades without the knowledge of the families.
The MOVE bombing, conducted by city police, killed six adults and five children linked to a Black anarcho-primitivist militant group. And it sparked an inferno that incinerated more than 60 nearby homes.
The remains of two of the children, 14-year-old Tree and 13-year-old Delisha Africa, were believed to have been buried in 1985, according to a petition from surviving MOVE members, who all use Africa as their last name. ....

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - The Jonesboro Elks Lodge hosted a Quilt of Valor Ceremony Saturday, honoring three Vietnam War veterans Wesley Williams, Robert Cobler, and William Richmond.
Quilts are given to comfort vets during difficult times. Sometimes, wounds aren’t always physical, and the quilts aim to heal emotional pain.
Williams spent two tours in Vietnam and said his quilt means the world to him. ....

People in Norfolk will have to pay about 29p a week more for the police element of council tax next year.
A meeting of the county s Police and Crime Panel yesterday heard the increase was essential to tackle hidden harms such as sexual abuse and domestic violence.
Norfolk Police and crime commissioner (PCC), Lorne Green, proposed an increase of 5.68 per cent (£14.94) a year on Band D properties.
