Thirty-year-old Jasmine Wilson died after she was dropped off at Whanganui Hospital in July 2019, badly beaten and barely conscious. Zane Wallace - who was Wilson s boyfriend - has been on trial for murder and a number of threatening to kill charges in the High Court at Wellington. The judge said an update in medical evidence needed further consideration which could not be done while the trial was under way, so it needed to be halted. ....
An alumnus of University School and East Tennessee State University has announced the creation of an endowment to support his alma mater as one of the top K-12 schools in the state and nation. The A. Richard Wilson University School Endowment will provide resources for University School to supplement public funds in support of capital improvements, technology upgrades and maintenance, staff and faculty professional development and for scholarships for graduates attending ETSU. Wilson credits the University Schoolâs faculty with laying the foundation for his success in life and business. Keeping the University School among the top programs in the state and providing opportunities for faculty and students motivated him to establish this endowment. ....
At this point, we all have been living with COVID-19 for well over a year. COVID has impacted how we gather with our family members, how we shop, how we dine at a restaurant, how we go to the doctor among countless other things. My observation as a father and a youth pastor is that COVID has had a tremendous impact on our students and our studentâs mental health. I have no medical degree, my viewpoints are only what I am seeing as a youth pastor and what I am hearing from other people that work with students. Think back to when you were in school. You probably faced the pressures of fitting in with your peers, the awkwardness of different stages of puberty, not to mention the pressures of academics.
