A Delta employee is in custody Saturday morning after allegedly causing a ruckus during one of the airline’s flights Friday night to Atlanta, where he said out loud that he would take the plane down, Oklahoma City Police tell Fox News.
The incident forced the pilot to divert the aircraft to Oklahoma City following its departure from Los Angeles, flight records show. The man behind the chaos – an off-duty Delta employee in his late 20s – received medical attention after being removed from the plane and the FBI is now taking over the investigation, according to Oklahoma City Police.
2 Pilots Survive Fiery Helicopter Crash Near Yukon
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter went up in flames after crashing on its head in the metro.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department told News 9 they responded to the crash around 3:30 p.m. and the helicopter was completely in flames.
Billows of smoke could be seen near Cimmaron Road Wednesday afternoon after the helicopter crashed at the Clarence. E. Page Airport.
“The ship is pretty much burned to the ground except for the tail,” said Jim Gardner from above the scene.
“When we got on scene what we encountered was a helicopter that was already on the ground out here on the field of the airport. It was already essentially burned all the way down to the frame, two pilots were on board the helicopter,” said Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson with the OKC Fire Department.
