Preferred option identified in N25 scheme between Waterford and Glenmore Public feedback on route to be sought in online event Reporter: ); ); A preferred route option has been identified in the ongoing process to develop a road scheme to improve the transport connectivity of the N25 between Waterford and Glenmore. Kilkenny County Council are working in partnership with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) on the project. The preferred option has been identified as the navy option and is illustrated on the map below. Currently the project is at the conclusion of Phase 2 – Option Selection and as part of this process a non-statutory public display event is to be held seeking the public’s feedback to the preferred option. Donegal County Council has confirmed it wants to vary the County Development Plan to allow for three major road developments under the Ten-T Programme. Maps and environmental reports have been published today for the Twin Towns By-Pass, and roads linking Letterkenny to Manorcunningham, and on to Lifford, Strabane and the A5. Section 1 of the Ten-T programme centres on the N15/N13 Ballybofey/Stranorlar Urban Region, with an emphasis on the long discussed Twin Towns By-Pass. Section 2 concentrates on the N56/N13 Letterkenny to Manorcunningham Road, with Section 3 centres on the N14 Manorcunningham to Lifford Road, and onwards to Strabane and the A5. ....
Public consultation begins today on another stage of a potentially major upgrade of the N24 in west Tipperary. Tipperary County Council is leading plans for the Cahir to Limerick Junction Project, which could lead to the long awaited construction of a bypass of Tipp Town. The project looks at the stretch of the N24 taking in the villages of Bansha, Limerick Junction, Monard and Oola, as well as Tipp Town. The plans are currently at the second phase – Option Selection, which will examine feasible options to address problems identified in Phase 1. Those studies found problems on the road with “limited width”, and its passage through multiple built up areas. ....
