Fingal-based Kianda Technologies, who are supported by Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Fingal, were winners at this year s National Enterprise Awards (NEA). The awards, which took place virtually were broadcast online from the Mansion House in Dublin, are in their 22nd year and run annually by the LEOs. Founded by husband-and-wife team Derya and Osvaldo Sousa, Kianda Technologies took home the Export award. The company has achieved significant penetration in global export markets with their business automation software that streamlines business processes in areas such as finance, HR and quality. Kianda has grown from strength-to-strength in the last couple of years, having won the Best Start Up / New Business award at the Fingal Chamber Awards in 2018, as well as being one of three Irish tech companies featured in RTE s Boost my Business for their resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Local Enterprise Week is back in Fingal and this time it is going virtual. The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) network has launched a series of exciting business events and initiatives to take place completely online during Local Enterprise Week (LEW), which is happening between the March 1 and 5, 2021. The pilot Virtual LEW will allow local business owner/managers to learn, engage and network around the country directly, whether from essential workplaces or their home offices. Fingal Chamber is now inviting groups to apply for a share of its new Community Fund Fingal Chamber has issued an invite to groups to apply for funding under their new Fingal Chamber Community Fund for community-led projects and activities in the region. This new fund totalling over €25,000 is financed by supporters and contributions from the Chamber and aims to support the community projects and activities which benefit the citizens of Fingal.
