Kotoka International Airport Undergoes Phase III Disinfection Exercise
The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) in collaboration with the Vector Control Services of Zoomlion Ghana Limited have undertaken a third phase disinfection exercise at the Kotoka International Airport. The exercise saw the disinfection of the restrooms, departure and arrival halls, among others at the Terminal 1 and 2 on midnight of December 14, 2020. Sundair launches Swedish operations with a Stockholm Arlanda direct route to Beirut

The German carrier Sundair is starting operations from the Swedish market for the first-time by launching a new non-stop service to the Lebanese capital from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The service was launched 11 December with Sundair operating the Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) – Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) route once weekly with an A320 model aircraft. Sundair is at this point the sole carrier to provide the direct service to the Libanes capital from Stockholm.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, took home three titles at the Aviation Business Awards, held in Dubai. 
 
The airline collected the ‘Environmental Initiative of the Year’, while its training division Etihad Aviation Training was named ‘Training Provider of the Year’. Etihad Engineering was also recognised with the inaugural “Pride of Aviation” award.
 
The coveted award for ‘Environmental Initiative of the Year’ was presented for Etihad’s industry-leading commitment to driving the sustainability agenda. Etihad’s recent initiatives include the ecoDemonstrator programme in partnership with Boeing which is a prime example of industry collaboration to tackle climate change.
