WINONA The Winona Ruritan Club met March 23 at the Winona Friends Church. President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order with 18 members present. Vice President Homer Althouse gave an update on fellow member Rob Donaldson’s medical condition and then gave the Invocation. The meal featured ham, cheesy potatoes and a variety of pies. ....
Mahoning County Jr. Fair preps for 175th Canfield Fair During its virtual February meeting, the Mahoning County Junior Fair Board discussed ideas and activities to celebrate the 175th Canfield Fair. Members were advised that the annual flower sale would be an online sale only this year and orders will be accepted until May 1, 2021. The Junior Fair Board will be helping at the upcoming Junior Fair County Livestock Meetings and the Horse Symposium in late March to be held at the Event Center. Election of the 2021 officers will take place at the April 15 meeting. The Junior Fair Board will meet again at 7 p.m. March 18. ....
Feb 8, 2021 WINONA The Winona Ruritan Club met Jan. 26 at the Winona Evangelical Church. President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order and Vice President Homer Althouse gave the invocation in which he asked for prayers member Rob Donaldson, who was rushed to the University Hospitals in Cleveland for open heart surgery Jan. 14. The club enjoyed a meal of salad, barbecue pork, scalloped potatoes, green beans and a variety of pies and applauded Mrs. Gordon in appreciation. Secretary Lee Stamp called the roll of members with 12 being present. Stamp also read the minutes of the club’s Board of Directors January meeting. Treasurer Bob Doyle Sr. gave his monthly and year-end financial reports and Past President Homer Hoprich presented the auditor’s report for the treasurer’s and secretary’s books for 2020. ....
