Trent Busuttin and
Hopkins (Race 7 #10) as his best value selection across the country on Saturday.
“I’m looking for a horse down in the weights who has shown a bit of staying promise and I think Hopkins can run really well,” Lester told
The Breakfast Club.
“He was good against the pattern of the day last start at
Cranbourne, he drops 4kgs for that run, he’ll handle soft ground and will run the trip.”

Corstens, who trains in partnership with his father Leon said the 4-year-old son of star Widden Stud sire

“The trip up to Queensland and back before last start hasn’t really knocked him around at all, he’s a tough horse and is a really good space at the moment,” Corstens told
Headline mare Arcadia Queen fails to sell Will Clarken with Bella Vella. Photo: Magic Millions By Clinton Payne Comments
One of Australia’s best race mares Arcadia Queen failed to sell when she was put through the ring at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast on Tuesday.
The Bob Peters-owned mare, a three-time Group 1 winning daughter of Pierro, was regarded as the headline act of the sale but an online bid of $3.4 million wasn’t enough for the West Australian-based owner to part with his prized five-year-old, the winner of eight from 16 with career earnings of more than $3.9 million.
The Randwick track not good enough on Queen Elizabeth Stakes day
OUTSTANDING DAY’S RACING BUT SURFACE DISAPPOINTING
The question most people were asking after Saturday at Randwick was if the “track was prepared to aid Addeybb?”
I criticised the Caulfield track on Blue Diamond Stakes day when horses had to race off the rail to find the best going on a surface rated a good (4), so it is only fair I also ask the same questions about Randwick being rated a good (4) last Saturday.
If it is good it should not be uneven.
Jockeys and punters alike considered the track in the slow range after the first at Randwick and I bet William Haggas, watching 17,000km away at Newmarket in the UK had the giggles when he saw the cut in the ground in the early races - knowing full well that the track would suit his champion Addeybb.
