RENOVO Local humanitarian group, Advocates United for Humanity, will host a basket raffle fundraiser on Saturday, May 1, at the Renovo Fire Department from 1 – 6 p.m. And everyone’s invited.
The raffle includes a variety of gift baskets, gift cards, games and gift certificates from area businesses. AU4H volunteers will serve hot sausages, sloppy joes, a variety of cold salads, baked beans, desserts, cotton candy and drinks. The basket raffle fundraiser is coordinated by Terri Hough, area photographer and author of children’s book, “Who’s in Our Woods 2.” Hough is a longtime ....

Seventh Annual Holiday Donation Drive Benefits Hospices in Poland and Vilnius; Supports New York Children’s Smile Foundation in Queens
BROOKLYN, N.Y., Jan. 25, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) For the seventh consecutive year, members of the nation’s largest ethnic credit union, the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, donated more than $100,000 to organizations and foundations committed to assisting sick, terminally ill and disadvantaged children.
The PSFCU’s annual holiday donation drive garnered nearly $103,000 from members, all of which will be donated to The Children’s Home Hospice Foundation (“Promyczek”) in Otwock, Poland; the Nursing Home for Children and Youth (“Dom Chlopakow”) in Broniszewice, Poland; the Blessed M.
