The Ganjam district administration in Odisha has made it compulsory for shopkeepers and owners of business establishments to display their vaccination certificates to encourage customers to take the Covid-19 vaccine. They will not be allowed to carry out business transactions if they fail to display these certificates. Advertisement “We request all the shopkeepers, vendors and other professionals to display Covid vaccination certificates (single/final dose) in front of the shop. It will create confidence among customers and help to stop the spread of infections,” tweeted Ganjam district collector Vijay Amruta Kulange. Kulange told The Telegraph: “We have issued the appeal with the aim to create public awareness. The business associations have come forward and supported the decision. Those traders who fail to comply with the order will not be allowed to open their shops. The move will help in reducing the transmission of the virus.” ....
Vaccination at doorstep vehicle is ready to roll out in Berhampur BERHAMPUR: After launching doorstep collection of swab samples, the Ganjam district administration is now planning to roll out ’vaccination on wheels’ to inoculate people at their doorstep, particularly the elderly and physically challenged who are unable to visit the vaccination centres. “We are working out an initiative with the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) and very soon this will be launched in BeMC areas, most probably on Monday,” said Ganjam district collector Vijay Amruta Kulange. The vehicle for the purpose is already ready, he added. “The aim is to extend the vaccination programme and to cater primarily to those who are unable to reach the centres for different reasons. Moreover, this will help to maintain social distancing. We want to make Berhampur a fully vaccinated city,” Kulange said. ....

These will be converted into a dedicated Covid health centre (DCHC).
