BOSTON (AP) Coronavirus vaccination sites across the Northeast ramped back up Tuesday after a two-day snowstorm that also shut down public transport, closed schools and stranded travelers with canceled flights.
Some officials said that since vaccine supplies were thin to begin with, they didn’t anticipate having big problems getting caught up on distribution after a day or two of cancelled appointments.
In New Jersey, travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday described being forced to endure widespread disruptions. Keno Walter-White said he got stranded at the airport after his flight was canceled and bus and tram services were suspended. ....

The nor easter that dumped more than two feet of snow in parts of northwest New Jersey also triggered coastal flooding in communities along the shore on Monday, Feb. 1. Videos posted to social media on Monday show flooded streets in Point Pleasant Beach and Sea Isle City.
A Coastal Flood Warning was in effect on Monday. A Coast Flood Advisory was in effect through Wednesday morning for parts of New Jersey and New York. The alerts have expired. ....

BOSTON (AP) Parts of northern New England were waiting their turn to be pummeled by a heavy winter storm this morning, while residents of the New York City region were digging out from under piles of snow that shut down public transport, canceled flights and closed coronavirus vaccination sites.
The National Weather Service said a foot or more could be on the ground in New England by the time the snow finally tapers off in the northernmost states by Wednesday evening. ....
