New Delhi [India], March 11 (ANI): The Odisha CB-CID on Thursday informed the NHRC that it has asked the law enforcement response team, Facebook Security, California for the production of documents with respect to the Facebook account of Aditya Dash, a whistleblower who was allegedly killed on July 7, 2020, at Lingaraj Railway Station in Bhubaneswar.
The Odisha Crime Branch, Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID) has also sent a suicide note to the psychologist for analysis.
Requesting to unearth the mystery over the death of Dash, a motivational speaker, and human rights defender, Supreme Court lawyer and rights activist Radhakanta Tripathy had sought the intervention of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Picked for the International Anti-Corruption Champions Award by the US administration, RTI activist Anjali Bhardwaj on Wednesday said the recognition is significant and will help bring focus towards the movement at a time when those speaking truth to power are being targeted and attacked in the country.
Bhardwaj, the founder of the Satark Nagrik Sangathan (SNS), a citizens group with a mandate to promote transparency, has served as an active member of the Right to Information Movement in India for over two decades.

WASHINGTON: The Biden administration on Tuesday named Indian social activist and anti-graft crusader Anjali Bhardwaj for a newly instituted International Anticorruption Champions Award that it said was aimed at emphasizing commitment to truth, transparency, and accountability in a mission that we must live at home and exemplify abroad.
Announcing the award, US secretary of state Antony Blinken said the 12 individuals recognized for the award, including Bhardwaj, have worked tirelessly, often in the face of adversity, to defend transparency, combat corruption, and ensure accountability in their own countries. Biden administration, he said, recognizes that we will only be successful in combating these issues by working in concert with committed partners, including courageous individuals who champion anti-corruption efforts and countries working to fulfill their commitments to international anti-corruption standards.
