Lagos governor, others welcome launch of China Africa Business Council

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other dignitaries have welcomed the commissioning of three offices by the China Africa Business Council (CABC) in the state.
The newly unveiled offices are: China – Africa Business Council, Nigeria; Belt & Road Service Connections Centre; and Belt & Road Mediation Centre.
The three offices, which are the first of its offices in Africa are aimed to enhance the cooperation between Nigerian and Chinese companies.
At the Choice International Group Headquarters in Victoria Island Lagos, CABC representative, Diana Chen, said, “The purpose of setting up a representative office in Lagos is to develop the membership of not only the Chinese enterprises but also enterprises that are looking for business opportunities and investment in China.” ....

Gowon Celebrates Oyinlola at 70

Respected elderstatesman and former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon has sent a letter of felicitation to former Osun State governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola on his 70th birthday.
Prince Oyinlola, who is also a former military administrator of Lagos State, will clock 70 years on Wednesday, 3 February, 2021.
General Gowon, in the two-page letter personally signed by him described Oyinlola as a person of character adding that Oyinlola had been “an exceptional success” from the time he knew him “as a young officer” over 50 years ago in the Signals Corps of the Nigeria Army, and who later “meritoriously rose to the enviable rank of Brigadier General.” ....

Celebrations as Oyinlola turns 70 on February 3

Former Military Administrator of Lagos State and former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola will clock 70 years on February 3, 2021.
To celebrate the milestone, Gbenga Abiola, the chairman of the Planning Committee has announced a two-day event which will comply strictly with COVID-19 protocols. There will be a thanksgiving service at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos on February 3, 2021, at 11 am.
This will be followed by another Thanksgiving Service at the Oba Oyinlola Memorial Anglican Church, Okuku, on Saturday, February 6, at 10 am for well-wishers from Osun State and the environs.
Expected at the celebrations are leaders across the country including former presidents, governors, ex-governors, other political leaders, captains of industry and religious leaders of all persuasions. ....
