Coast band in line for major music award

Fragile Animals opening the Big Pineapple Music Festival in 2018. To-date they ve released a couple of EPs and some stand-alone singles, but that could soon change, having spent the best part of the past year writing songs in lieu of being able to perform. Drummer Kyle Shipton, 25, grew up on the Coast, while Ms Jenkins and her partner, guitarist Daniel Parkinson, 34, both moved to the region from New South Wales after they d finished their schooling. Ms Jenkins said the band had gathered momentum at the start of last year, having released a song, played a support gig and had a tour booked before the pandemic dashed those plans.

While plus-size people struggle to find second hand or sustainable fashion in their sizes, those with disabilities seem to be a complete afterthought. What is adaptive fashion? It’s difficult enough for those with disabilities to find clothes that are stylish, comfortable and adaptive. Adaptive fashion is a term used to describe clothing designed for people who have difficulty dressing themselves.

Man, woman, teen charged in First Dani Store armed robbery

Chatfield and Jenkins worked together when the robbery happened, but they were off-duty. The release says Chatfield is a security guard and the teen is related to him. Deputies say Jenkins went inside and propped open the security doors that lead to the cash registers. That s when the teen went inside, robbed the store with a gun, and then ran away with cash, the release says. Chatfield was parked near the store. The teen got inside and they drove off. When investigators issued warrants after later identifying the trio. The teen turned himself in and was taken to the RYDC. He is a charged with armed robbery.
