But before hearing the facts, Sheriff Margaret Neilson deferred sentence for a background report on Brendon Stevens.
He was released on bail to an address in St Peter s Road, Thurso, which his lawyer Fiona Macdonald gave to the court.
Stevens pleaded guilty to pulling the woman s hair at a house in Murkle View, Thurso, on January 8 and threatening behaviour, shouting, swearing and throwing the item at her vehicle.

AN elderly woman banned from seeing her husband after she force-fed him with water will be able to share in some Christmas celebrations with him.
The ban was imposed after Gloria Dunnet (70) last month admitted a charge of culpable and reckless conduct but it was lifted at Wick Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
The court was told, previously, that a support health worker observed Mrs Dunnet forcing water from a glass into her husband Andrew Dunnet s mouth at their home at Auchorn Farm, Lyth on September 30.

A WOMAN S actions in driving dangerously while more than four times the legal alcohol limit could have had much more serious consequences, a sheriff told her this week.
The driver, Karyn Fraser, who hit a pedestrian and a car, was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to carry out 75 hours of unpaid community work when she appeared for sentence at Wick Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
