Two sessions featuring planning and economic development officials from municipalities throughout Northern Colorado will highlight new development projects during the virtual Northern Colorado Real Estate Summit, March 30 to April 1.
The event will be conducted virtually over three rounds of morning sessions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It will feature Joel Kan, associate vice president of economic and industry forecasting for the Mortgage Bankers Association, who will deliver a keynote address on national mortgage and real estate trends.
The Northern Colorado Real Estate Summit will feature live-streaming presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, virtual trade-show booths, online networking, one-on-one video meetings and much more.

BizWest: We’ve now gone through about a year of economic constraint as a result of the pandemic. What has been Berthoud’s experience economically this past year?
Walt Elish: Economically, Berthoud had a record year in 2020. Our 2020 revenues were about 35% higher than 2019. This was primarily due to the increase in the sales and use tax collected and the increase in the number of single-family permits issued. With this increase, however, it should be noted when preparing the upcoming budget for any given year, our finance director and town administrator cautiously plan for possible unforeseen circumstances.
