Former speaker hopeful is Wilson’s pick for top auditor job Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury Justin Wilson is not seeking a seventh term in the office and is asking the Tennessee General Assembly to pick his deputy, Jason Mumpower, to fill the role. Wilson has held the position for 12 years, first gaining it when Republicans took control of the House. It was the same time that Mumpower, then a Republican leader in the House, was supposed to be named House speaker before a rogue Republican joined with Democrats to install himself. Mumpower left the House and joined the comptroller’s office.
Vaco subsidiary MorganFranklin Consulting has added Ferdinand Hamada as managing director to its cybersecurity practice.
The addition follows Brentwood-based Vaco s acquisition of MorganFranklin in 2019. Based in Washington D.C., Morgan Franklin focuses on finance and technology management and advisory services.
Hamada (pictured) brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and technology transformation within the life sciences space, according to a release.
Previously, he served as vice president of IT and chief information security officer at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Hamada also worked for more than 10 years at KPMG Consulting, focusing on IT advisory for pharmaceutical clients. He began his career in various IT positions at Cardinal Health and Merck.
