December 17, 2020 A new motion filed in a Sacramento federal court is looking to depose Governor Gavin Newsom and other top state officials over their response to the ongoing health crisis. The motion was filed by plaintiffs who sued Newsom over the ban on protests at the state capitol last spring. It is asking Newsom, former CHP Commissioner Warren Stanley and former Public Health Director Dr. Sonia Angell to sit for sworn depositions. A court hearing is scheduled for January 6.
