A few weeks ago, my partially vaccinated partner and my wholly unvaccinated self got an invitation to a group dinner, held unmasked and indoors. There’d be Thai food for 10, we were promised, and two über-immunized hosts, more than two weeks out from their last Moderna doses.
And what about everyone else? I asked.
Would they be fully vaccinated, too?
Well, came the response.
Not really. Some would be, some wouldn’t. But it had been so long weren’t we close enough?

no, and my partner and I ended up staying home. But as the weeks wear on, I’m having more and more of these conversations with people who are struggling to navigate the new social calculus of a partly vaccinated world. Al-Shifa Trust establishes eye hospital in Chakwal: Hospital will be operational in a couple of weeks

Rawalpindi : Despite serious problems linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Al-Shifa Trust has completed an eye hospital in Chakwal at a cost of Rs250 million as per the schedule.
The newly-built hospital is equipped with the latest facilities and have a capacity of providing treatment to 250 outdoor patients at its OPD per day, said Major General (Retired) Rehmat Khan, President of Al-Shifa Trust.
Talking to a group of journalists, the president said that the construction site is spanned over eighteen Kanals of land while the construction has been completed within two years and it will be operational soon. ....

Poll: Net 14 Percent Swing Against Bidens Immigration Approval amid Migrant Surge
President Joe Biden has experienced a 14 percent net swing against his immigration approval rating over the last two weeks amid the migrant surge on the southern border, a Morning Consult/
Politico poll released Wednesday revealed.
The survey, taken March 26-29 among 2,043 registered voters, showed 49 percent of voters disapproving of Bidens handling of immigration issues, rising eight points since mid-March. Forty percent approve, down from 46 percent in mid-March.
While a majority of Democrats approve of Bidens handling of immigration issues, 70 percent, that is down five percent from weeks earlier. His disapproval also rose six points among Democrats since mid-March, crawling from 14 percent to 20 percent. Disapproval among Republicans remains high at 84 percent, up from 78 percent last month. ....
