NEW WAVERLY â Two individuals have been arrested after deputies say that they discharged a firearm in the direction of multiple residents in the Waverly Village Apartment Complex.
On Friday, May 28 at around 1:15 pm the Walker County Sheriff s Office was dispatched to a shots heard call in the 200 block of Tafelski Road in New Waverly. Upon arrival deputies learned that a vehicle had come into the area and a passenger in the vehicle began discharging a firearm. It was determined that no one was injured during the shooting, but shell casings were recovered from the scene.
As the vehicle fled the scene, witnesses were able to relay a description of the vehicle to dispatch. Deputies immediately located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle as it was leaving the scene.

A woman who had a gun pointed at her during a May 11 incident in St. Elmo told members of the City Council on Tuesday night that Chattanooga Police turned the focus on her actions rather than the man with the gun.
Adrienne Cooper said she probably not should have gotten out of her car to snap a picture of the license plate of the man she said had been driving recklessly. However, she said, I am tired of feeling intimidated in my community.
A property dispute turned violent over the weekend, resulting in two individuals being shot.
Deputies with the Walker County Sheriffâs Office responded on Sunday to the 100 block of Hawthorne Road in New Waverly, where they were told that a person had been shot. Upon arrival, deputyâs learned that two individuals had gunshot wounds.
Police say that both injured individuals were immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment, with one victim transported by ambulance to Conroe Regional Hospital and the other was taken by Air Ambulance to Houston Hospital. The injuries are not expected to be life threatening, with one person already being released from the hospital.
