Joe Albert Gover, 27, pleaded guilty for his role in the beating of Benjamin Briones on June 26, 2011. Reports indicate Briones was hit, kicked and struck with a baseball bat during a fight. He later died of his injuries. Gover also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of aggravated robbery of an Uber driver in 2019.
