University Plaza demolished by WMU, will be repurposed as a green area By Will Kriss Jun 14, 2021 | 7:23 PM KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) â A building that previously held two restaurants at the edge of Western Michigan University (WMU) has been demolished. Although multiple businesses have occupied the space over the years, the restaurants Campus Wok and Two Fellas Grill were the last to set up shop. Both of those businesses had already relocated elsewhere before the demolition process, with Two Fellas moving into 2730 West Michigan Avenue. That site previously held a Wendyâs location. In addition, Campus Wok has moved to another nearby location, 2636 West Michigan Avenue, right next to East Egg. ....
Newport Beach News The Greek Pie If you ask me for my favorite pizza restaurant, topping the list would probably be Sgt. Pepperoniâs Pizza in Newport Beach. I have many reasons for making this pizza joint my favorite. Itâs been around since 1976, it has a Beatles/music theme, it was purchased and revamped in 2013 by four longtime Newport Beach friends (including Stan Frazier, longtime drummer for the band Sugar Ray), and they have damn good pizzaâalthough my fave menu item is the pinwheel: Â pizza dough stuffed with toppings, rolled up and sliced into perfect pinwheels. Try the spinach and broccoli version with marinara sauce for dippingâalthough the pepperoni version is good too. ....
BRIDGEWATER Two Providence, Rhode Island, men have been charged with using a firearm to threaten a woman who they had recently sold a dog to over social media and met Monday to refund the purchase after she learned the dog was ill, police said. Police say Marcus Mangum, 37, and Steven Mangum, 41, have both been charged with illegally carrying a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm without a license and possession of ammunition with a license. Marcus Mangum was additionally charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and Steven Mangum was also charged with a firearm violation with three prior violent or drug crime convictions. ....
