KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 Malaysia is expected to maintain its position as one of the top e-commerce markets in Asean, with its gross merchandise value (GMV) likely to grow 6.0 per cent to US$11.4 billion (US$1=RM4.09) in 2020.
In a statement today, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corp (MDEC) said the e-Conomy SEA 2020 Report by technology giant Google, Singapore state-owned investor Temasek and global consultancy firm Bain & Company had projected Malaysia’s GMV to rise to US$30 billion in value by 2025. ....

KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): The Malaysia Digital Economy Corp (MDEC) aims to have 875,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) adopt e-commerce by 2025 under the new National eCommerce Strategic Roadmap 2.0 (NESR 2.0).
In a statement, the corporation said the road map also seeks to boost e-commerce export adoption among 84,000 MSMEs and increase the average revenue per user to RM9,500.
The NESR 2.0, which was recently endorsed by the National Council of Digital Economy and 4IR, aims to support the growth of Malaysia s e-commerce market.
NESR 2.0 will be guided by three overaching objectives, namely to intensify e-commerce adoption and growth, to enhance ecosystem development and to strengthen policy and regulatory environment. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 The National Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Council has approved the National e-Commerce Strategic Roadmap 2.0 (NESR 2.0) as the catalyst for the growth of Malaysia’s e-commerce ecosystem.
In a statement, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the roadmap was approved during the council’s second meeting today which was chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. ....
