More than 200 of Hillsborough Countyâs top high school seniors from 35 public and private schools accepted an invitation to share their accomplishments and take part in an essay contest through the 2021 R.F. âRedâ Pittman Tribune Scholars program. The Varsity Wrestling team took 4th place at district on Saturday, Feb 20. Ending up with 6 wrestlers moving on to the state tourney.
The state tourney will start on Friday Feb. 26 @ Idaho Center in Nampa. Good luck!
District placers were who are moving on to state:
Daniel Martinez placed 3rd at 106 pounds.
Gabe Martinez placed 4th at 106 pounds.
Landon Georgianna placed 2nd at 138 pounds.
Christian Hodges placed 3rd at 170 pounds.
Marcus Robinson placed 2nd at 182 pounds.
Demetri Smith placed 2nd at 220 pounds.
Placers who did not get an at large bid were:
Caison Emkey placed 6th at 113 pounds.
Jayden Everett placed 6th at 126 pounds.
