chief from the fire department to see how it unfolded. people who live out here could see the big plume of black smoke billowing from miles away. the report of the fire was that one of the engine companies doing an inspection, they saw the column of smoke and we were on scene in a short amount of time. first report from them was at 11:07. when they arrived on the scene, they had heavy fire conditions coming from the two-story building. everyone was able to get out safely before crews arrived. there were people redirected to come out of the building and relocate across the street. there s quite a bit of stuff in their garage. i don t know if they were hoarders or whatever going on, but it makes it difficult to get in and fight the fire. it s quite a safety concern for officers looking at the housekeeping of the building. you have to imagine if a firefighter was in that environment tripping over hazards, running into piles of debris or stuff, it s a safety concern. th
