Elizabeth McCabe was co-publisher of the Jackson Hole Guide with her husband, Fred, from the late-1960 until the paper merged with the Jackson Hole News in 2002. She continued as co-publisher of the Jackson Hole News&Guide with News owner Mike Sellett until her death in 2012 at age 101. Ann Ramsay woke up in the middle of the night and decided to donate nearly $2 million to the 4-H program in Jackson.
The gift establishes an endowment in her motherâs name, The Elizabeth McCabe Memorial Excellence Fund for Teton County 4-H: Extension Staff. As the name suggests, funding will be earmarked specifically as a housing subsidy for staff to live in Teton County. Extension educator and county chair Mary Martin said she regularly has job applicants decline positions once they realize Jacksonâs cost of living.

Am I eating the right nutrition? said Hoene last year, as she was getting ready to deliver her baby. Understandably, she was a bit more worried about it because of the pandemic.
A year later, Hoene, a water resources engineer based in Cody, is a new mom to her young son and a lot has changed. The one thing that still remains is the pandemic that is still continuing into 2021. And without a guidebook, millions of women who were expecting and had to give birth during this pandemic had to navigate foreign territories on their own, some with their loved ones.
