Walsh & Kelly Inc., an 88-year-old Griffith-based construction firm, merged with Milestone Contractors in Indianapolis and Wabash Valley Asphalt in Terre Haute.
The new firm will serve the entire state, be headquartered in Indianapolis and operate under the Milestone Contractors name. It will be owned by the family owned parent company The Heritage Group.

The employees, offices and asphalt plants will stay the same.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTWO/WAWV) Two area leaders were recipients of the state s highest civilian honor.
Vigo County Commissioner Brad Anderson and Vermillion County Commissioner Harry Crossley were presented with the Sagamore of the Wabash awards Tuesday.
Anderson, who will officially retire as a commissioner this month, is a lifelong Vigo County resident. He served for eight years as a county commissioner, with two of those years as president. Before that, he was elected five times to the Vigo County Council.
Anderson has also been active with several other community organizations including serving as Vigo County Fair Board president for a number of years, member of the Zorah Shrine and former president of the Economic Development Committee.

Vermillion County Commissioner Harry Crossley was named a Sagamore of the Wabash by Vermillion County Councilman John Michael Major on behalf of Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb at Tuesday s commissioners meeting.
Also Tuesday, Vermillion County recognized Tim Wilson, a longtime commissioners president, former Cayuga town board member and decades-long Cayuga volunteer firefighter.
Crossley is a lifelong resident of Clinton and has served as a Vermillion County Commissioner for 28 years. He fought for his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. He has been married to his wife Susan for 52 years. They have two children, Harry Jr. (Butch), Lori, and many grandchildren.
