Art Exhibit Shows Persecution in China, Brings Tears to Fullerton Audience FULLERTON, Calif. As artist Caron G. Rand looked upon a painting titled “Organ Crimes,” depicting a young man in China having his organs forcibly harvested, she was “moved to tears by it.” Rand was one of the attendees at “The Art of Zhen Shan Ren” exhibit and concert in Fullerton, California, on Feb. 25. “Zhen Shan Ren” translates to “truthfulness, compassion, tolerance” the three main principles of the spiritual meditation practice Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong. The international exhibition, which has been held in 50 countries, features work by artists who practice Falun Dafa and also highlights atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against practitioners. ....

Over two days she took photos of bumper-to-bumper traffic at a standstill outside Kumeū on State Highway 16 heading into Auckland city and emailed them to Transport Minister Michael Wood. What should have been a 26-minute drive from her home in Huapai to work at Avondale took 1h 45m during the morning rush and 1h 20m later in the morning. ....
12 Heroes of Camden in situ in Kings Cross, London The area around London s Kings Cross with its squeaky clean plazas, shops and restaurants has been developed beyond all recognition in recent years. But now an outdoor exhibition is offering a reminder of the less fortunate communities living in the surrounding borough of Camden as well as drawing attention to those who have gone out of their way to help them in this most challenging of years. The 12 Heroes of Camden (until 5 January) consists of 12 large-scale portraits of local individuals along with their personal stories taken by the local photographer Aaron Hettey. Selected by the independent charity Camden Giving, each image of a local hero highlights their acts of everyday kindness. ....
