Newspaper and magazine printers swung into action over the weekend producing special issues to mark the passing of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Newspaper tributes included record-breaking pagination
Prince Philips’ death, two months’ short of what would have been his 100
th birthday, was announced just after midday on Friday with publishers immediately switching up their plans as they rushed to create commemorative editions of the weekend newspapers. 
Several newspapers chose to use special wraparound cover designs as part of the array of tributes. 
The
Daily Mail produced its biggest-ever issue at 144pp, with the record-breaking edition containing a series of tributes and hundreds of photographs.  ....

He was skilled, brave and very determined and won many Championships and represented Great Britain, Coun Bowen added.
He drove a team of the Queen s ponies to many successes. His enthusiastic participation greatly raised the profile of Carriage Driving.

Prince Philip has a long association with Wiltshire


Since then, the Duke of Edinburgh has visited the county many times for official and unofficial engagements.
A Wiltshire Life article to celebrate his 99th birth on June 10 last year remembers that on November 20 2017, the Queen and Prince Philip celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary.
Prince Philip, or Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten as he was then, was living in Corsham at the time he proposed and right up to a few days before the wedding.
The Duke was playing skittles at the Methuen Arms in Corsham when his engagement to Princess Elizabeth was announced. He also used to play darts with the locals who frequented the public bar. ....
