A US trade advocacy group focused on India has sought a truly fair and bilateral trade between the two countries, days after India and the US conducted its Trade Policy Forum and Commercial Dialogue. A truly fair and bilateral US-India trade partnership would have the potential to reap monumental economic benefitsfor both countries, including increased innovation and job creation, the Alliance for Fair Trade with India (AFTI) saidin a statement yesterday.
A Reaffirmation of the Importance of the U.S.-Brazil Relationship
The undersigned organizations, representing the U.S. and Brazilian private sectors, have been longstanding advocates for expanding two-way trade and investment between the Western Hemisphere’s two largest economies. At the outset of 2021, in a world reeling from a pandemic, we reaffirm our commitment to work together with both governments towards an ambitious and robust bilateral agenda that drives inclusive and sustainable growth for the citizens of both of our countries.
We encourage Presidents Biden and Bolsonaro to build on the recent trade policy gains in the bilateral relationship to help restore bilateral trade and investment to pre-crisis levels and to contribute to much-needed job creation. Other immediate priorities include enhancing cooperation on environmental protection and climate and overcoming the pandemic. U.S. support for Brazil’s accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and De
