The V.F.W. is organizing the parade, which starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 8th, said Veterans Service Officer Randy Kaelber. I think this is a good way to honor our veterans, and get out of the house for a little, especially during all this COVID-19 stuff going on. ....
Housing and Development Newsletter Molina has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. The complaint identified the firearm as a .22-caliber revolver. Additionally, the criminal complaint includes several sentencing enhancements such as use of a firearm to cause great bodily injury and a second strike allegation under the state’s Three Strikes Sentencing Law. His first strike involved a robbery charge with a conviction from 2005. He has had a number of criminal cases since then, including one from 2019 in which he pleaded no contest to assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, but apparently missed his sentencing date. ....

Both counties have a multitude of sites for Christmas tree recycling. Last year, Allegheny County Parks Department workers turned about 3,500 trees into mulch. Considering that one live tree makes about five pounds of mulch, that’s more than eight tons of mulch ready to be spread around come spring. ....
