Richard Davis said in the lawsuit that he worked a 13-hour shift as an assistant manager at a West Ashley grocery store on July 25, 2018. At the end of his work day, he said he was giving a co-worker a ride home when a North Charleston Police officer stopped him on Otranto Road and accused him of failing to maintain his lane.

(WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department has arrested a woman after she allegedly shot a man in the chest at a night club. Christy Ladawn Gathers, 32, has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a firearm, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, the NCPD says. Officers say that the NCPD responded to 7550 Dorchester Road at approximately 1:07 a.m. Sunday. The NCPD says they were responding to a shooting at the Blue Note Bistro.

Man who stabbed woman to death in 2018 sentenced to 35 years imprisonment

Solicitor Scarlett Wilson says on the morning of his trial Terry Kelly pled guilty to stabbing a woman to death in 2018. His trial was set to begin Monday, June 7. Terry Kelly was charged with stabbing 41-year-old Tennille Grant to death on April 22, 20218. He was sentenced to 35 years of imprisonment. The solicitor's office said Kelly had been harassing Grant for months leading up to her murder and she had made several thorough reports to law.
