The huge lobby of Exposition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison was filled shoulder to shoulder with blue jacketed, black pant/skirt, white shirt/blouse-clad high schoolers, on their way from one meeting to another down the long hall and I was sort of in the way.
It was the 92nd annual Wisconsin FFA convention running July 5th through 8th and there were some 3000 FFA members their FFA Advisors and friends in the building and I admit I felt a bit out of place in the big hall of youth.
Note: Because of the pandemic last years convention (like so many other group gatherings), was not held on a person/person basis.

MARCH 3, 2011 – Several Soldiers Grove area residents recently enjoyed a get together at the Elling and Joan Davig winter home in Florence, Arizona. JANUARY 6, 2011 – Sheri Schwert dances with the angles during a performance of “Anything Goes’ at North Crawford Schools… Bids by the Fischl Construction Corporation to build new public works and EMS buildings in Gays Mills were approved by the village board at their regular meeting… North Crawford-Seneca’s wrestler Zach Miller finished 2-2 at the annual Bi-State Classic hosted by Holmen High School.

Connor Murray is pictured wearing a cap similar to dozens found in Ryland Gibbs store in 1946. Could it be one of the originals? Gibbs sold them for $1 each that year, and the caps started a fad among the local Gays Mills boys, including Brian McKnight who wrote about the story in this week’s paper… Clason Construction recently donated a large supply of gloves to North Crawford Schools, a gift that will certainly come in handy in the coming months. Glove gifting has become an annual display of holiday sprit for Clason.
