MARCH 3, 2011 – Several Soldiers Grove area residents recently enjoyed a get together at the Elling and Joan Davig winter home in Florence, Arizona. The group is pictured and included Joan Davig, Jeanette Montgomery, Patty Schoville, Joan Everson, Phyllis Benson, Bud Everson, Doug Montgomery, Roger Turnmire, Richard Schoville, Elling Davig, Jim Benson and Lorraine Davig… About 375 high school students from nine schools will participate in “Reality Daze” at Western Technical College, Viroqua Campus. The Reality Daze event is an interactive financial program designed to introduce students to money management skills. Students have studied and chosen a career in advance. JANUARY 13, 2011 – The Soldiers Grove Village Board decided to proceed with a library expansion by pursuing the acquisition of the adjoining pharmacy. The Solar Town Pharmacy currently owned by Vernon Memorial Healthcare, is planning on moving to a nearby remodeled building near the medical clinic… Phinehas Robert Dudgeon is the Vernon Memorial Healthcare 2011 New Year’s Baby. Phinehas is the son of Lara and Josh Dudgeon of Gays Mills. Area grandparents are Siguard and Marsha Chestelson and Richard and Carol Dudgeon.
