At around 11:15 am, officers were again dispatched to a scene where a vehicle had failed to remain. The suspect and vehicle were located again at the intersection of Wilson Road and Rossland Road, where police began to pursue. The suspect led the officers into a dead-end street, where a foot pursuit began. A K9 unit was dispatched, and the suspect was taken into custody. Police arrested Jahan Gittens of Ajax, age 37. Gittens was charged with three counts of Flight from Police Officer, three counts of Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance, two counts of Leave Accident Scene Fail to Give Name, and single counts of Possess Property Obtained by Crime; Driving While Under Suspension; Owner Operate Motor Vehicle No Insurance; and Speeding. ....
