Karnataka CHief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa being sent off from Manipal Hospital

Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, who was undergoing treatment for COVID-19, was discharged from hospital on Thursday morning.
He is likely to remain in home isolation for the next few days.
He had tested positive last Friday and was admitted to Manipal Hospital with fever and other mild symptoms. He had participated in the all-party meeting chaired by Governor Vajubhai Vala virtually from the hospital.
It was the second time he had contracted the infection. He had tested positive for the first time in August 2020. Mr. Yediyurappa had received the first dose of vaccination. ....

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, who last week said that he had tested positive for coronavirus, was discharged from a private hospital in Bengaluru this morning. This was the second time that Mr Yediyurappa, 78, had contracted the virus.
Speaking to the reporters outside the hospital, the Karnataka Chief Minister said: Coronavirus is spreading very fast. In one household, three-four people are contracting the virus. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, the only solution is (use of) masks, sanitiser, and maintaining social distancing.
In an appeal to people, the BJP leader further said: We have reached a stage where it cannot be controlled. From now on, please don t come out of your home unnecessarily. We have already taken a lot of steps and strict measures. Please don t give reasons to police to impose a fine on you for not wearing a mask. I request all your coopera ....

All telecom and internet service providers and companies offering allied services to telecom and internet services providers are permitted to operate 24/7 with unrestricted movement of personnel and vehicles.

Aimed at controlling the spread of COVID-19, the Karnataka government on Tuesday issued a new set of guidelines as per which night curfew will be imposed in the state from April 21 and curfew will be in place during weekends.
