Mumbai: A video of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Assistant Commissioner Ramesh Pawar mistakenly drinking sanitiser from a bottle is doing the rounds on social media on Wednesday. The incident happened when Pawar was presenting the budget of the Education Department for the year 2021-22.
The video doing rounds on social media shows Pawar picking up a bottle kept at the dais thinking it s drinking water and taking a sip from it. Fortunately, the BMC official soon realised it was not water and kept the bottle aside. One of the officers tried to stop him from drinking the sanitiser, but by then he had already taken the sip. Soon after Pawar was offered a bottle of water to drink by an official. ....

In a case of gross negligence, at least 12 kids were administered hand sanitiser instead of the oral polio vaccine drops at a Primary Health Centre in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, officials said on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday at Bhanbora PHC (Primary Health Centre) in Kapsikopri village, when over 2,000 small children aged 1-5 years had gathered along with their parents for the polio vaccination programme under the national immunization drive. ....

In a shocking lapse, at least 12 kids were administered hand sanitizer instead of the oral polio vaccine drops at a Primary Health Centre in Ghatanji s Kapsi-Kopari village in the district, officials said on Monday.
Taking cognisance of the incident, the district health authorities late on Monday suspended three nurses after a preliminary investigation.
The incident took place on Sunday when over 2,000 small children aged 1-5 years had gathered along with their parents for the polio vaccination programme under the national immunization drive, launched in the morning. ....
