SHILLONG: The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis & Centre for Development of North Eastern Region at IIM Shillong organized a two-day (9th & 10th July 2021) virtual training on Digital Transformation of Small Businesses .
The virtual training was attended by various stakeholders from all over the NER (north-eastern region). It was open to all with no registration fees. Prof. D.P Goyal, Director, IIM Shillong, graced the event by emphasizing the importance of digital transformation in NER especially for small-time businesses, which can bring economic growth and improve the livelihood of the people. Galaxy Digital has revealed that Bitcoin consumes less energy than the banking system and gold. Galaxy Digital released the report on Bitcoin energy consumption after researching how much energy Bitcoin energy uses. The authors of the report said that “this report took a quantitative approach, comparing Bitcoin’s energy usage to that of other industries.”
