A NEW chairman has been appointed at Sellafield Limited. The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority announced on Thursday that Tony Meggs CB will take over as chairman of Sellafield Limited, he will begin his three year term on May 3 2021. Mr Meggs succeeds Lorraine Baldry who has held the chairmanship since May 2018. The new chairman will report directly to NDA chief executive officer David Peattie. Mr Peattie said: “I am delighted that Tony has agreed to be the next chairman of the Sellafield Ltd Board. “Tony brings a huge breadth of leadership experience and his insight on major infrastructure projects and the energy sector will be invaluable to Sellafield. I look forward to working with him and know he will have a significant impact on Sellafield Ltd.” ....
