As a resident and voter in District 2, I strongly oppose the recall of City Council President Jennifer Campbell. A recall is a drastic remedy. It should be used only when drastic circumstances call for it. The objections to Campbell clearly do not rise to that level. I did not vote for Campbell in 2018. Incumbent Lorie Zapf had done a good job representing our communities and deserved a second term. But the voters decided otherwise. As we have seen from the dangerous attacks on our democracy from our past president, not accepting the will of the voters is a perilous path to tread. Those who think they know better than the majority of voters should think again. They don’t. ....
