Construction work of a vaccine production unit has started at Andharua in Bhubaneshwar and a target has been set to commence production of Covaxin by June 2022, the Odisha government has announced. The vaccine unit being set up through Bharat Biotech International Ltd (BBIL) will produce around 10 types of advanced vaccines, including that for coronavirus and malaria, as per a release. The construction of the vaccine production unit because of IDCO s smooth land allotment process and ease of doing business reforms , stated the release further. The required statutory clearances and permissions have also been granted for setting up the unit. It was informed after a state-level Bio-Tech implementation committee meeting held virtually under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra from Lokseva Bhawan wherein Secretary Science and Technology Manoj Mishra outlined the administrative and financial issues for discussion. ....
BHUBANESWAR: Chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra on Monday reviewed Railway traction power transmission projects on digital mode from Lokseva Bhawan here and set timelines for completion of each project. Taking a project wise review, Mohapatra has asked Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) to adhere to the timeline. He also asked energy secretary NB Dhal to take a month wise review of the work-schedule in coordination with concerned departments for expeditious implementation. OPTCL supplies 132 KV or 220 KV power to railway feeders from where the railways take power as per requirement of the trains through power conversion sub-stations. Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) was urged to expedite the issue of no objection certificates for Belpahar transmission tower. Railways were asked to complete construction of their power conversion sub-stations in pace with power supply projects of the OPTCL. ....
Chief Secretary takes stock of 7 major railway projects Post News Network Bhubaneswar: Reviewing progress of seven major railway projects in the state, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy directed the officials concerned to provide advance possession of government land for faster implementation of the projects. Tripathy reviewed the progress of the projects and resolved the issues relating to ground level implementation at a high-level meeting held on digital mode at Lokseva Bhawan here recently. Commissioner, Railway Coordination, Manoj Mishra presented the updates for discussion. The Chief Secretary asked the District Collectors and tehsildars to give advance possession of government land to ensure uninterrupted progress of construction of projects. ....
