The Times-Mail BEDFORD As more and more heavy trucks and large deliveries travel into Mitchell for the Lehigh Cement Co. multi-million dollar expansion project, traffic safety is a concern. Troy Lobosky, Lehigh site security manager, spoke to the Lawrence County Commissioners Tuesday at the courthouse to request a lower speed limit on Mill Creek Road. He recommended the limit be dropped to 35 mph for a one-mile stretch of Mill Creek Road between Meridian Road and Ball Road. The road currently has no speed limit signage, which means motorists can travel at 55 mph. Lehigh is in the midst of a $600-million expansion project that will literally change the entire landscape of the Lehigh operation in Mitchell. ....
