It s not quite as good news in some regions as others, but Quebec City will see a relaxation of its lockdown measures next Monday, including a return to 9:30 curfew and a return to part-time school for high-school students.
The same won t be true in the Outaouais, Beauce and some other hard-hit regions, which have been subject to the strictest restrictions and won t see them all lifted yet.
But overall, Premier François Legault said in a press conference Tuesday, COVID-19 statistics are looking so good across the province that he foresees a broader easing within about a month, including allowing limited access to restaurants again. ....

On Sunday the Ministry of Health and Social Services added new emergency measures in five MRCs in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, one of which borders on the Estrie region. The MRCs of Beauce-Sartigan, Bellechasse, Les Etchemins, La Nouvelle-Beauce, and Robert-Cliche were shifted back to measures similar to those which were in place across the province at the beginning of the month of January, including a curfew in place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the closing of all elementary and secondary schools as well as all non-essential businesses, as well as a ban on the sale of items deemed non-essential, among other measures. ....

With cases rising, public health measures tightened in parts of Chaudiere-Appalaches

Public health restrictions are getting tighter in parts of Quebec s Chaudiere-Appalaches region.
With COVID-19 case counts rising significantly, the province s Health Ministry announced on Sunday new measures that will come into effect at 8 p.m. on Monday in five of the region s nine municipalities.
The targetted sectors are Beauce-Sartigan, Bellechasse, Les Etchemins, La Nouvelle-Beauce and Robert Cliche.
The City of Levis has been under the more restrictive measures, which will remain in place until at least April 12.
Among the new measures are a tightening of the curfew, which will go into effect from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Primary and secondary schools students will return to online learning and cinemas, theatres, museums, non-essential shops and restaurant dining rooms will be closed. ....
