UPM Raflatac receives recycled content certification

UPM Raflatac’s Vanish PCR plastic labeling materials for the US market have been independently certified by SCS Global Services as featuring at least 90 percent post-consumer recycled content (PCR) in both the face and liner.
The UPM Raflatac Vanish PCR range of clear, white, and silver PET film label materials enables brands to produce eye-catching visuals with more sustainable labels that support the circular economy. They are suitable for the food, beverage, or personal care markets and use less raw material than other standard clear-on-clear products.
According to UPM Raflatac, Vanish PCR is the only clear-on-clear labeling material on the market that incorporates recycled content, featuring PET face and liners made from 90 percent post-consumer recycled content. The recycled content in all of the UPM Raflatac 1.2 mil and 0.92 mil face and liner label materials have been verified in accordance with SCS Global Services’ Recycled Content Standard. ....

Dantex sells three PicoColour digital presses

Dantex Digital, part of the Dantex Group, has sold three PicoColour digital label presses, which will be installed in the Netherlands, Austria, and the US in March 2021.
According to Dantex, the recent sales, which are a combination of repeat and new orders, reflect the growing reputation that Pico technology has developed across the global marketplace. All three presses feature a mix of CMYK + white, plus in-line finishing and variable data options.

MDM-Flex installs its first MPS flexo press

Russian printer MDM-Flex has installed its first 10-colour, fully automated MPS EFA 340 flexo press to speed up production and focus on printing high-quality self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging
MDM-Flex’s new MPS servo-driven flexo press with a 340 mm print width includes an automated print control system, UV dryers, capabilities for thin monofilm printing, and several converting options positioned on the rail system.
