From Staff Reports CLINTON A grant in the amount of $20,000 was recently awarded to I92 Ministries by the Lenawee Community Foundation and Lenawee Cares to assist the local ministry in addressing any food insecurities in Lenawee County, especially those brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, I92 Ministries, which is a non-profit humanitarian food aid relief organization based in Clinton, was providing weekend meal packs to 600 Lenawee County students weekly. During the early stages of the pandemic, and when local school districts were forced to close, the number of students served meals by I92 Ministries increased drastically to 2,200. ....
Cynthia Heady Lenawee Community Foundation As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be unsafe, the Lenawee Community Foundation needed to make the difficult decision to cancel its 2021 annual meeting. Typically, the annual meeting brings together local individuals, organizations and businesses while recognizing award recipients and the work of donors, volunteers and community partners. Although disappointed that the special gathering could not happen again this year, we look forward to spring 2022 and that there is still much to celebrate.
